Feel the Feels

We’ve all got defense mechanisms that protect us from pain…

However they’re leaving you emotionally flatlined. We have so much to celebrate and be joyful for! Sounds like it’s time for us to put away the fear of pain and take action. What happens when we experience long-term “emotional flatlining”? 

Well, a few things: 

We find ourselves increasingly isolated and lonely, stuck going through the motions, and satisfying our egos. Now, I want to be clear: these feelings are common, and in a lot of ways, normal. When we’re stuck in this cycle, it’s increasingly difficult to manage and we can get bogged down. 

I don’t think we should sit around beating ourselves up. However, if we can reframe how we see ourselves, our pain, and the value of our lives we can turn this thing around. The best way to do this is to experience things
