How to Shift Out of a Funk

by Nov 17, 2021

Putting the wind back in your sails

No matter how hard you try, you’re going to feel like you’re in a funk at some point. We all procrastinate, refuse to address something we know needs to be fixed, or straight up feel lazy. Some might call it “checking in with yourself,” but when I go through a funk, it feels like a self pity party.

Yet, when you do something you don’t feel like doing, you feel so much better and proud of yourself. The question is, how do we balance honoring your feelings with gritting our teeth and doing things we don’t want to? Consistency in doing these things is key to getting out of funks, but extremely difficult to attain.

On this episode of Becoming Kings, I’ll tell you a story of how I broke out of a funk last weekend and plan to avoid my feelings of self-pity in the future. Let’s develop that consistency needed to avoid feeling stuck in the mud.

In this episode you’ll learn about…

  • Let’s be real. (0:46)
  • All about those single ladies. (5:05)
  • Being one with your body vs pushing through. (8:49)
  • How do you shift? (12:53)
  • How do you get out of the shittiness? (15:44)
