We’ve all got the same basic fears.
The fear of running out of time is powerful… for making you choke under pressure. How many times have you looked up and realize you’ve lost out on HOURS? What about that feeling like your summers evaporate before you can do anything with them?
Perhaps your fear of running out of time keeps you fighting a losing battle against yourself and you’ll be trapped in a cycle of always wishing you had more time. I’ve been there, and yet somewhere along the way I realized that we need this fear to function.
Well, we need it in a different form: urgency.
This is a fairly nuanced topic, and I won’t do it justice right here (though the episode is where it’s at, check it out). The gist of how we use urgency properly is to give ourselves motivation to get our work done. Urgency helps add just enough pressure to our decision making and actions to keep plowing ahead.
So if you want to dive into using urgency as fuel for your success, you’ll want to take a few intentional moments to listen to what I’ve got to say.
In this episode you’ll learn about…
- The “not enough’s” = lack of urgency. (0:47)
- A sense of urgency is needed! (4:35)
- A little pressure is good for the soul. (7:45)
- How can you create artificial leverage? (11:02)
- Action forward always trumps your fears. (14:03)
