Resilience is what allows us to climb the mountain and achieve our often lofty goals.
Problem is… It can be difficult to cultivate, maintain, and implement into life.
Whenever I work with guys, I call resilience “emotional fitness” because it’s a great barometer of how much each can handle before things get overwhelming. I get asked a lot why cultivating resilience and persevering is worth it in the end. The answer is actually pretty easy:
“The quality of your life is proportional to how much uncertainty you can handle.” Sit with this for a moment, because it’s important to understand.
The further we get on our journey to achievement, the more uncertain and unmapped it becomes.
